Annie Took Her First Step Today!

Hayley (a neighbor from the strawberry farm) and I were meeting to study Chinese and suddenly Hayley looks over in Annie's room and says, "Hey, she's standing up!"

Well, Annie had done this before, but this time she stood up straight holding her little red chair. I knelt down and called her and she took a couple steps toward me! It's was so amazing! She did it once more later. But alas, when Joel got home from work, she wouldn't do it again. She wouldn't do it for the pictures either.

Aaron & April's Wedding

It was a large wedding party: eleven guys, eleven girls plus junior bridesmaid and groomsmen and two flower girls and ring bearers. During the service, the smallest ring bearer (close up below) ran up the isle and then spotted Annie and I sitting at the edge of the isle. "Baby!!!" he said loudly, running over to us, touching Annie and tugging on her legs until his Daddy came to get him.


Actually that wasn't the only attention she received from very young gentlemen (or not-so-gentle boys. Three little boys there either wanted to dance with her or give her kisses. Joel wasn't too pleased. ;)

Joel played music for their wedding with his friend, Brian (not shown).


Their cake looked so refreshing and lovely.
